Once upon a time there was a young woman named
Princess Lemon . She had an enormous garden with
beautiful flowers of all types. She grew zinnias, marigolds,
and pansies. Also irises, peonies, and even rare orchids of
all kinds. Her flowers were the envy of all the land.
One day a wretched old hag came walking by. She was
filthy, grumpy, and rude. This hag was secretly the
wicked witch of watermelon forest who thought she could
make many new potions from several of the rare flowers.

“Give me all the flowers in your garden” she demanded of
the young princess. “ You are filthy and rude, and you
shall have no flowers from me” said the beautiful
gardener.
The witch became very angry and cast a spell. “If you
think you are such a great gardener I shall give you
a task. You shall have seven years to produce a fruit of
every color in the rainbow on trees that you shall grow.
If you do not complete this task in seven years, my curse
shall strike you dead”. She then left in a puff of filthy
smoke.

The Princess became very nervous and immediately
set out to find trees that grew fruits of every
color. There was an orange tree that had orange fruit. There
was an apple tree with red fruit, and a plum
tree with violet fruit. Blue and yellow were a struggle since
at that time there were no such trees. She pruned a
young blueberry bush so it had only one stem which
became a trunk. After seven years, even though it was only
six feet tall, it was a real blueberry tree. She had all the
colors but yellow and became more worried as
the years went by.
